Brilliant Group has initiated the Heshun model of “protecting local styles and features, projecting culture, making a complete set of cultural projects for harmonious development.” As a result, a 6,000-resident town sustains, featuring volcanos, gardens and wetlands. White-walled and tile-roofed houses line in a criss-cross of creeks and bridges characterize the emerald town carried over here by horse caravans. It is a merger of the Han culture and Southern Asian cultures, a town beaming vigor and charm. Just like a corridor of history in the horse caravan museum, Heshun streets show the ancient way of life, reproducing the old-fashioned paper making, shadow puppet playing, blacksmith’s shops, cloth weaving, farmhouse distillery, woodcarving by hand and other folklore performances, some of which being non-material cultural heritage items under protection. This is a novel model combining cultural experience, wetland farmhouse recreation and commerial trade into one program.
